First off, I learned a tongue twister in Portuguese! Its "A aranha arranha a rã a rã arranha a aranha." It's pretty fun to say because is sounds like nonsense to me, haha. It means "the spider scratched the frog, the frog scratched the spider."
We have been teaching Carol's family, and after one lesson her mom gave us some flags! Now I have a Brasil flag from Brasil! The one my companion got is a soccer team from where he lives in Rio Grande do Sul! It was very cool! She also said that she will make shirts for us, but first we got to get her baptized!
Sadly, we had to drop some investigators because right now they don't want to change their lives. It's sad to see because there is so much more they can have and so much more they could be! But we can't take away their agency.
Giovane, the investigator we are helping getting married and baptized went to church yesterday! I really feel that once he is a member he will be faithful and be a good member in the ward. He really likes studying in the scriptures which is amazing to see! He is from the Assembly of God so during the sacrament he was singing all of the hymns, always a plus the first time as well!
One day when we were on a division and we were knocking doors before an appointment. We knocked on one and started to introduce ourselves, and before we even said we are missionaries, she invited us in to sit and teach. It was really strange but an awesome blessing! The boyfriend came out and was listening to our lesson. We stopped by yester day and he said that the woman, Michelle, has been reading everyday! I'm hoping that's right but we are about to check up on it in about 30 minutes.
I am also greatful for Nutella and Frosted Flakes, and Coca Cola as well. If the Coca Cola from here was in the United States, I'm pretty sure it would be more popular than water. But I'm loving every day of the mission!
