This week has been really fun! We got a new district and tomorrow we are getting another new one! The district two weeks ahead of me just got their visas, so it's looking good for my visa! Portuguese is coming along, but we heard some construction workers speaking Spanish and we were thinking if they are that fast at speaking Portuguese, we're done for, haha!
Nothing really exciting has happened. I haven't gotten mugged, or shot at (ya know, being in the MTC) but it's all going well!
Our Branch President challenged us at the beginning of our MTC stay to read the Book of Mormon in six weeks, and I'm almost done! I'm on page 450 and I will be finishing up shortly this coming week. This Friday I'm going to be Skyping members in Brasil and speaking to them in Portuguese. I'm really excited to see what its like! Tomorrow morning I'm going to be hosting new missionaries, which is weird that I'm already going to be able to do that! It doesn't feel like I've been here that long.
This past Sunday in Priesthood meeting my Branch President said something I really like. It went along the lines of this: We were talking about enduring to the end as our topic and he said, "We endure to the end; we shouldn't look for the end." Which is true and puts our work in perspective. But I'm not going to say that to any investigators. Kind of overwhelming, haha. 'Til next week!
P.S. - Someone send me a cool paisly tie, please! I want to give a tie to one of my teachers!
